50th Anniversary Concert of Mr. Rotman’s coming to faith in Jesus Christ
In the Fall of 2020 Tom Chesko, the Pastor of the El Cajon Community Church, invited Mr. Rotman to return again to the church to perform a concert on a Friday evening in May 2021.
Mr. Rotman suggested Friday, May 21 which was also the 50th anniversary of his commitment to Jesus Christ, a fitting celebration.
Due to Covid restrictions in California the church had been conducting its Sunday service outside in a tent on the church property. This was the venue for the concert. The church’s fine 7-foot Yamaha grand piano was moved outdoors.
As it turned out the weather was perfect and there were no noisy distractions from the surrounding neighborhood.
On May 21 Mr. Rotman phoned the 86-year old pastor of the church in New Jersey that he attended two days after his conversion. Mr. Rotman became a member of that church and met and married his wife there. He also emailed and received a wonderful response from a pastor from Wales in the United Kingdom who had been preaching at the church that summer and who baptized him in August, 1971. He then spoke to one of the three Juilliard students who shared Christ with him.
At the El Cajon concert Mr. Rotman gave his full testimony and thanked the Lord Jesus Christ for His great salvation which was he received 50 years earlier to the day on May 21, 1971.
To God be the Glory great things He had done.
The concert stage is set in the tent.
