Sam Rotman’s Beethoven Concert on Beethoven’s birthday in Beethoven’s birth City, Bonn, Germany

This past Dec.16, 2022 was Beethoven’s’ 252nd birthday. Mr. Rotman had the honor to perform an All- Beethoven concert on Beethoven’s birthday and 1.3 kilometers from Beethoven’s birth house in Bonn, Germany.

The concert was originally scheduled for Dec. 16, 2020 for the 250 anniversary of his birth, however it was postponed for two years due to Covid restrictions in Germany.

The day began with being one of the first visitors to the Beethoven Birth House and Museum. Sam also did the Beethoven Walking Tour of the center city which included the famous Beethoven Monument, the church where Beethoven played the organ for the services at the age of 10, various hall and homes where Beethoven performed as a young boy as well as the grave of Beethoven’s mother.
